General Utilities Technician
Job Description
Reporting directing to the Plant Manager, the General Utilities Technician will work closely with our packaging and production team and provide support/assisting in repairs, preventative maintenance needed on production, facility and new project equipment. The best person for this role should be passionate about whiskey, have a diverse set of skills, a rapport within a team environment and a great attitude. Role and Responsibilities
- Executing preventative maintenance routes
- Performing necessary equipment repairs in a timely fashion
- Assisting in process automation and design/build
- Assisting in process improvement of packaging, distilling and facility processes
- Assisting in developing SOP’s and future maintenance programs
Qualifications and Requirements
- 2+ years of maintenance work, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 21 years of age
- Must pass a mechanical comprehension test with a score of 70% or higher
- Manufacturing mechanical skills
- General electrical wiring skills
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Able to read mechanical prints and technical schematics
- Rebuilding of motors and pumps
- Welding
- HVAC and refrigeration knowledge
- Plumbing knowledge
- Maintain clean and organized work environment
- Can operate in a team environment or autonomous
- CDL Class B recommended but will be required
- Forklift Certification
- Knowledge of steam boilers, low pressure or high pressure
- Experience with glycol chilling systems
- Knowledge of Word and Excel
Physical Requirements
- The ability to work long hours on your feet
- The ability to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height
- The ability to crouch, bend, lift and reach
- Be willing to get wet, dirty and greasy
Compensation
Hourly Rate Range: Starting at $22/hour depending on experience
