Leading Edge Jet Center Seattle is accepting applications for line service technicians. Line service technicians are responsible for providing excellent customer service to arriving and departing clientele, performing a wide variety of aircraft ground servicing activities. Applicant will be expected to communicate effectively with customers, pilots, and team members in order to provide quick and efficient service. Position involves working primarily outside during all seasons, including weekends and holidays depending on scheduling needs. Excellent way to network and begin a career in aviation!
Duties:
-Marshal aircraft arrivals, taking care to secure the aircraft and provide car valet service as necessary.
-Marshal out departing aircraft safely.
-Operate fuel trucks to safely dispense fuel to aircraft.
-Handle aviation fuels and ensure fuel quality through various tests and procedures.
-Record fuel quality and fueling equipment inspections on the proper forms.
-Tow aircraft around the ramp area and into and out of hangars.
-Provide any number of ground services to aircraft, including lavatory waste disposal, oxygen, and potable water.
-De-ice and anti-ice aircraft during winter months.
-Maintain a professional appearance and conduct with customers and coworkers.
-Maintain the cleanliness of all facilities and equipment.
-Other duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
-Aviation experience preferred, but not required.
-Basic computer skills.
-Good communication skills.
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Maintain good situational awareness.
-Mechanically-inclined skills welcome.
Physical Requirements:
-Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Safely use and climb ladders.
-Work outside in all environmental conditions.
Education:
-High school diploma/GED required.
-Valid driver’s license.
Other Requirements:
-Be at least 18 years old.
-Be able to work in the United States.
-Pass drug test.
-Pass thorough background check for airport security badging.
