OMRI operates an internationally recognized evaluation program that reviews input materials for use in producing, processing, and handling organic foods and fiber. Overview of Position
We are looking to fill a key position on our team. The Review Program Specialist is responsible for performing administrative review of product applications and providing support and assistance throughout the product review process. The Review Program Specialist reports to the Review Program Administrative Supervisor.
Starting salary $37,000 per year, DOE
Due to COVID-19, this position would be remote for the foreseeable future, and you would be working from home temporarily until we can return to the office. We may also consider permanent remote workers living in other parts of the country.

Major Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service, including answering questions from current and potential suppliers of OMRI Listed products
- Perform administrative review of new product applications and ongoing compliance product applications and product changes
- Receive product review applications and set up preliminary product files in the OMRI Products Database
- Scan hard copy submissions and save them in appropriate locations
- Conduct preliminary review of applications, including communications with applicant regarding missing information or incorrect payment
- Evaluate compliance with administrative review criteria
- Monitor deadlines related to the review process
- Track deadlines for reviews, extensions, missing information, repackaged products
- Send deadline reminders and extension letters to suppliers as required
- Close out reviews once the status has been determined
- Perform final data quality checks on products post-review
- Send listing information to suppliers post-review
- Perform close-out procedures for reviews incomplete during pre-review process
- Perform close-out procedures for administratively approved product changes
- Oversee the collection of specified fees for non-renewal reviews
- Work with finance staff to manage receipts and credit memos
- Follow up with suppliers about payments received without supporting documents
- Manage records related to the product review process, including ensuring appropriate digital and paper filing
- Process and track applications awaiting pre-review, and organize files
- Assist in preparation and facilitation for Review Panel meetings
- Organize and distribute packets, agendas and other supporting materials for Review Panel meetings
- Finalize and distribute materials after Review Panel meetings
- Ensure that work done is in line with OMRI’s quality management system, and update procedures and processes as requested
- Thoroughly understand and implement OMRI administrative policies and review criteria
- Draft or revise document templates, work instructions, and correspondences (i.e. administrative checklists, forms and letter templates) relating to the ORP administrative work as requested
- Ensure adherence to OMRI’s Quality System
- Properly manage confidential business information
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 2 years of experience working in an office environment required
Skills:

- Willingness to participate in professional development activities, and ability to acquire new skills and adapt to change quickly
- Ability to work constructively as part of a dynamic team
- Proficiency in standard office software
- High level of attention to detail and ability to process complex information and instructions
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, organize information, complete tasks in a timely fashion, and appropriate handle confidential business information
Preferred:
- Familiarity with and support for the organic community
- Familiarity with creating and managing documents using Adobe Acrobat
- Experience working in a regulated environment
Other Requirements
- Ability to work occasional nights and weekends, if required
- Ability to occasionally travel domestically, if required
- Ability to provide annual motor vehicle report and proof of auto insurance, if required
