The Procurement Department is looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills in either a Procurement Analyst I or Procurement Analyst II role, depending on experience and qualifications. Enjoy a flexible telecommuting schedule (3 days remote, 2 days on-site) as you partner with various departments to procure a variety of materials, supplies equipment and services on behalf of the Airport Authority and:

 

  1. Receives, reviews and processes purchase requisitions; verifies compliance with pertinent laws, regulations and codes and Authority policies and standards and reviews information to ensure it is complete, accurate and clear.
  2. Performs procurement and contracting services for acquiring a variety of materials, supplies and equipment, services, progressing to consulting, public works construction and maintenance; works with stakeholders to develop a variety of technical specifications and requirements; price/cost analyses and assessing deliverables and terms; negotiates price and other terms; determines or recommends the award of solicitations to appropriate vendors; issues, reviews and distributes purchase orders, agreements and contracts.
  3. Represents department in interactions with customers, management and other Authority personnel in procurement and distribution matters; provides detailed technical guidance on purchasing, products, and suppliers, including specification development; receives, responds to, investigates, and resolves customer or department procurement-related inquiries, concerns, complaints, and problems; monitors vendor delivery dates; interprets and explains applicable laws, regulations, codes and policies.
  4. Ensures that vendors meet Authority needs; establishes, develops and maintains positive vendor relationships; researches, assesses and identifies new vendors for products and services within areas of assigned responsibility; interviews vendors to evaluate products and services and to obtain information for use in developing proposals; educates vendors regarding purchasing policies and procedures; obtains accurate and complete price and delivery information.
  5. Establishes, organizes, integrates, and maintains applicable procurement and vendor-related records, files, lists, forms and other documentation; writes, compiles, develops, edits, revises and produces necessary correspondence, reports and other materials; inputs accurate and complete information into computer database.

Distinguishing Characteristics

 

Procurement Analyst II is journey-level in the professional procurement class series. Incumbents in this class perform moderately difficult to complex procurement and contract assignments ranging in size up to large dollar amounts as specified by Authority policy, under the supervision of the Manager. 

The Procurement Analyst I is an entry-level class in the series. Incumbents in this role receive closer supervision and training in procurement and acquisition, duties include non-complex procurement and contracting assignments as specified by Authority policy and management.

 

Experience & Education:

Procurement Analyst II:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, acquisition of materials and supplies or equipment and services procurement.
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience.

Procurement Analyst I:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • One year of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, acquisition of materials and supplies or equipment and services procurement.
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

Preferred Certifications:

Professional procurement certification from a national or accredited organization is preferred, but not required. 

The hiring salary for a Procurement Analyst II is $70,040

The hiring salary for a Procurement Analyst I is $59,400
